Teachings and Philosophy
Acharya Shri Krishna Das Ji Maharaj is a well-known speaker of stories from the Shrimad Bhagwat, Ram Katha, Shiv Puran, and other sacred texts. He resides in Shri Krishna Shrayashray Ashram in Vrindavan and has been sharing the teachings of the Shrimad Bhagwat for the past nineteen years. His spiritual discourses have reached almost every region of India, including Nagpur, Maharashtra, Punjab, Mumbai, Gujarat, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Gwalior, Kolkata, Guwahati, Bengaluru, Jharkhand, and more.
Maharaj Ji's teachings are not a profession or business but rather a spiritual tradition. As a Brahmin, he believes it is a Brahmin's duty to praise and honor God. His discourses are aimed at filling listeners' hearts with devotion, without any profit motive. No donations are solicited during his sessions, and there are no requests for contributions related to cows, the ashram, or students. The focus is purely on sharing spiritual stories.
Ashram Activities and Celebrations
Maharaj Ji established the Shri Krishna Shrayashray Ashram, which provides services such as cow care, support for Brahmins and sages, and free lodging and meals for guests. Although donations are respectfully accepted, they are not required.
The ashram celebrates three main festivals each year: Shri Ram Janmotsav (celebrating Lord Ram's birth), Shri Krishna Janmashtami (celebrating Lord Krishna's birth), and a Holi gathering. During the holy month of Shravan, there is a daily Rudrabhishek (a ritual honoring Lord Shiva) with sacred flowers, and every year during Sharadiya Navratri, a grand Chandi Yajna ritual is held.
